3pm Sunday, empty bar full of revelry-related debris & I was supposed to meet some people here! It looks weirdly serene & peaceful but is definitely shut. So I am off to the mighty Power Lunches on Kingsland Road instead!
Check out Frenetics inspiring a new generation of young rockers at Stockwell Festival 2012! It was a really fun day. When he toddled off elsewhere, there was an audience behind him as well! Click the photo for a full gallery of the day by Plainview Media.
At the gig we showcased some recently composed material under consideration for inclusion on a new EP that we plan to record later this year. Hopefully we will find a good time and studio space before Christmas to get it down somewhere. A lot of songs have been inspired by our recent move to the capital from Leeds and discovering all sorts of new sights and sounds. So far we’ve checked out Thorpe Park, tonnes of museums and plenty of bars in the East and in Soho (especially bass player Tom!).
We have worked out a new way of trying on clothes in expensive department stores such as Selfridges/Debenhams. Thankfully, this stress-free method can be employed using the headless dummies dotted around! We also got in a bit of trouble for throwing props to one another. Apparently, Jack Wills or whoever just want you to look at their vintage rugby balls and polo bats or whatever the fuck they were. Anyway - GOOD TIMES.
We have a new music video for ‘See You On The Other Side’, a track off our ‘Broken Hand EP’! We’re also delighted to announce that it was released exclusively through artrocker and is currently a feature on their website.
So click the link above (the title of this article) and see what all the fuss is about - go on we dare ya! (Although if you like dolls then maybe dont!).
So we just learnt that Artrocker are going to have our new video for See You On The Other Side as the main feature on their website on Monday..however if you don’t think you can last until then, here’s a cheeky preview..
This is a short animation produced by our friend, photographer & collaborator Andrew Hiles using shots from our recent London gig at The Luxe, Spitalfields market. We hope to expand the project for a future music video featuring one of the tracks from our Broken Hand EP when we can find the time & energy! He is a lovely guy and an exceptional talent so expect updates from meetings about the idea soon. 1 thing that’s certain is it won’t be for See You On The Other Side - as that has an amazing video very close to completion, currently in the late stages of post-production/editing. It will be released this month. Watch out!
And this is our good school buddy Stuart Austin who is currently unbeaten in his professional MMA (cagefighting) career & was formerly UK judo youth champion. When he hits the big leagues we hope to be providing the entrance music!
Our new material sounds like this dude
